Free Admission
Due to the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra’s unique admission-free policy, no one needs a ticket to attend our performances (except for ticketed special events). SFCO Association members, by showing their membership card at the door, gain free access to the best seats in the house in our special preferred sections. General seating sections are for non-members.
Doors open 45 minutes before each concert (except on New Year’s Eve, when the doors open one hour before the concert). Music Director Benjamin Simon leads a brief pre-concert talk from the stage starting 30 minutes before each concert, which everyone is welcome to attend. SFCO members please note: you must arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the concert to get your reserved preferred seating. 10 minutes before each concert, all open seats in the members section will be made available to non-members.
Due to the increasing popularity of our admission-free concerts, memberships are highly recommended for those wishing to attend these top-notch performances. You’ll still pay less to attend a first-class professional concert in a beautiful hall than a movie at the multi-plex, and receive many benefits of membership.
