Side-by-Side Players

The SFCO is dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation of concertgoers, and a key aspect of these efforts is our Side-by-Side program.

Through our Side-by-Side program, young musicians from some of the Bay Area’s best music schools and ensembles are also invited to rehearse and perform onstage and alongside the Orchestra’s professionals at our popular Family Concerts.

This unique program not only presents an important professional development opportunity for these young musicians, but it also makes the concert experience more relevant and entertaining for our young audience members and their families.
